Standard Operating Procedures

A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) provides pilots with a step-by-step guide to effectively and safely operating an aircraft.

A particular SOP must not only achieve the tasks at hand but also be understood by pilots of various backgrounds and levels of experience within an organisation.

SOPs are developed as time goes by to incorporate improvements based on experience. Club’s Operations Manual, Cessna Pilot Operating Handbook (POH) and aircraft checklist are examples of SOPs.
